7. Indicateifyouwanttousetapeduplication.
Tapeduplicationallowsyoutomake uptofived upl ic a te copiesofaphysi c al tape
whenevervirtualtapedataisexportedtophysicaltape.Youmusthaveatleasttwo
identical physicallibraries(samemodel,samenumberofdrives,sametapeswiththe
samebarcodes).Whendataisex ported, se para teexportjobswillbecreatedforeach
physical libraryandeachjobwillhaveauniquejobID.
Theduplicationjobwilllookfor a tape withamatchingbarcodeinanotherlibrary.
Ifoneis found,thedataisduplicatedtothatphysical
library.Ifamatchingtapeis
notfound,butthereareadditionalidenticalphysicallibraries,thesystemwilllook
foramatchthere.
Note – Youshouldnothaveduplicatephysicaltapebarcodesinyoursystem unless
youareusingtapeduplica t i on.
Ifthislibra ryisusingAutomatedTapeCac h ing orifyouselectedtheMoveoption
forAutoArchiveonthepreviousdialog,thevirtualtapedatawill notbedeleted
untiltheduplicationjobfinishe ssuccessful ly.
