selectAutomated Tape Cachingfromthecontextmenu.
2. CleartheEnable Tape Caching Policycheckbox.
Alltheoptionsthatyouprevious lysetareretained,but dat amigrationwillnot
occurautomaticallyuntilyouselect
thischeckboxagain.
3. ClickOK.

Ifadirectlylinkedphysicaltapeisejectedfromthephys ica l tapelibraryafterthe
virtualtapehasbeenreleasedfrom cache,youhavetorelinkthephysicaltapebefore
youcanaccessitfromtheVTLconsole.
Note – Oncethe phy si c al tapeisreloadedinalibrar y,thebackupapplicationcan
inventoryaccessthelibraryandaccessthetapedire ctly,ifnecessary.
1. IntheobjecttreeoftheVTLconsole,right‐clickonthevirtualtapelibrary,and
selectSync Libraryfromthecontextmenu.
2. Ifyouhavemult iplelibraries,selecttheappropria te physicallibrary.
